Forza Horizon is an action racing game set on the epic open roads of Colorado with a thrilling music festival backdrop. Combining stunning graphics and cutting-edge music with legendary Forza authenticity and a superb collection of cars to drive, Forza Horizon is an open-world automotive playground that puts a spotlight on speed, style, and the freedom of the open road. Features

- LOTS of cars according Alan Hartman, head of Turn 10 studios. Number will be updated when confirmed.

- Challenges, formal races, and special challenges like racing a '70s Boss Mustang against a P51 Mustang fighter plane.

- Huge, open world for players to explore. Players will try to become King of the Festival over the course of the game.

- A day and night cycle with individual events at different times. Staring into a sunset has never been this beautiful.

- Same physics engine as Forza 4, though it allows for more "stylish" driving.

- Same graphics engine as well, but with more varied lighting.

- Online multiplayer and split-screen multiplayer return

- About 65 different types of terrain

- Multiple types of racing, like Drifting, Rally races, and the old but gold Point-to-Point racing.

- Hidden cars all over the map that are waiting to be found and added to your garage. You'll need to restore them first.

Limited Collector's Edition and Preorder incentives

"Pre-orders at participating retailers will receive exclusive cars for both Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport 4.

The bonus content for the latter is a 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392, complete with a custom Forza Horizon livery created by the Forza community team. This comes as a download code that's redeemable immediately.

Each pre-order will guarantee an exclusive car in Forza Horizon depending on the retailer. The cars consist of :

• 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG
• 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia
• 2012 Aston Martin Virage
• 2010 Nissan 370Z

Participating retailers so far include: Game, GameStation and Amazon in the UK, and GameStop, Media Saturn and Amazon in the rest of Europe.

Following closely. Loved the style of forza 4, but put that in an open world game and you have the realism of forza, with the open world of need for speed.

Have a sneaky suspicion that GS might try to Zelda this one.. but I'm predicting an 8.0 at least.

I enjoyed GT5 when it launched but still couldn't ignore how much of a let down it was. The whole premium cars vs standard cars thing was stupid. Polyphony should have just focused on making the nice cars as best as they could and ditched the rest of those crappy cars that anyone with a part time job could afford and can barely hit 80mph. Apparently there have been some big updates for it but that ship has sailed and I have moved onto other games.

Probably 8.0-8.5 since the ideas in the game so far are a quite old ( open world with story...etc ) but production budget and Forza's signature physics will save it from becoming an average game.

So far from trailers and gameplay footage the game looks fun, a bit restricted for an open world racer but still it looks good fun , Im gonna try the demo and see if it's good enough for a purchase especially since the arcade racer king is coming too this year, plus this NFS is from Criterion.

My hype is AA

Since the last game was AAA LOCK only to come back AA FLOP and a special damage control discussion thread had to be made to contain the butt hurt, I'm going with AA to avoid that fiasco again.Heil68

I actually find stupid when I see someone saying "GT5 sucks, Forza is great" or vice versa when both games are so close when it comes to simulation

This is a great NON-BIASED comparisson between both games and honestly, they are pretty close when it comes to gameplay

thing is to be brutally honest GT5 is dated and a step back from its predecessor, it feels dated in terms of presentation, the sheer fact Poly bloated their car numbers by throwing in res'd up PS2 models and the protracted dev cycle which ended up hurting the game in the long run as its presentation felt like it was stuck in 2004.

Not to mention the fact they only admitted after launch they dun goofed up and started fixing the game after launch tbh shows poor management in the studio, aswell as the load times at launch being horrendous, an install that was honestly borderline ridiculous.

GT5 is easily one of the most dissapointing games i've ever played and i've played 1-4 to 100% completion along with FM3 to bout 60% and FM4 career to bout 20%.

As an entertainment product and game Forza's just got GT5 on the ropes and it can be further reinforced by the growing trend of Japanese/Western disparity when it comes to gameplay design and such.Poly's a relic and need to get rid of Kaz his perfectionism causes too many problems.

that was only 2 months after launch which to be honest aint that bad.Prolly 3 will have topped round the 4mil mark and im sure 4 is in the same ballpark.

I haven't played Forza 4 that much to tell the difference, but I remember 3 hadn't quite eclipsed GT5. I did hear that Forza 4's driving model had been improved quite a bit though.
